Hi there— I’m excited you’re here! I’m Gissela Teran, a proud Charlotte, NC native, App State Mountaineer alum, cat mom, and owner & lead designer at G Design Studio.

Being raised by an architect father, I fell in love with design at a very early age. I have always had a passion for design and helping people realize a space’s potential. After earning my interior design bachelor’s degree, I embarked on my design career in Boston, MA by delving into the world of luxury commercial design. But somewhere along the way, my family & friends, residential design, and warmer weather of course brought me back home to Charlotte. 

Shortly after my return in 2022, in addition to designing spaces, I became a Realtor® in North & South Carolina to join my family’s real estate firm. Over the years, I have helped my family flip homes, and accompanied them to showings & construction sites. I’m always giddy to walk through a space and have ideas run through my mind with all the endless possibilities. While being an agent with my design background, I found myself helping my real estate clients with selecting materials for new builds and giving floor plan suggestions to turn their biggest investment into a home. This experience, along with my childhood memories, and helping with remodels fueled my passion for turning houses into homes. After six years of design experience, I obtained my general contractor’s license and G Design Studio was born!
